The memorial parade began at the GISD Administration building at 10 AM. Both new and vintage fire trucks from Granbury and Hood County fire departments were present
The GVFD vintage fire truck led off the parade.
Next up was Granbury's Newest Truck, Ladder 1.
One of Granbury's older trucks, Engine 1 is seen followed by Engine 4.
Next up is Granbury's Tanker 1.
Once on scene at the memorial site, GVFD Firefighters Blake Talbot and Chad Jordon carry the generator that will be used to power the hydraulic cutters to be used in the ribbon cutting ceremony. Wow, that must be some ribbon!

Former Granbury Firefighter Assistant Chief J.C. Campbell gives the Call to Order. J.C. then called out the names of the original Granbury Firefighters from 1907. Acknowledgment was given to those who made the memorial possible including the Memorial Committee, Granbury Park Commission, Major David Southern, County Judge Andy Rash and GVFD Fire Chief Scott Cook. Special thanks were given to Julia Pannell for all the long hours of work she put in to make the memorial possible.

On behalf of the Granbury City Counsel and Parks System, Granbury Major David Southern dedicates the Jim Burks Firefighters Memorial Park. The park was dedicated by Major Southern at 11:05 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2007.
