HEATHER STREET FIRE

On Wed July 26 as  Granbury Firefighters were being dispatched to assist the DCBE FD with a search for a missing person a report of a structure fire was received on Heather Dr. directly behind Fire Station #1. Heavy smoke conditions could be scene prior to Rescue 1 leaving Station 1. Rescue 1 arrived within 2 minutes of being dispatched to find heavy fire conditions from the A side of a one story frame residence. Rescue 1 quickly confined the fire to the room of origin with heavy smoke and heat damage to the rest of the structure. Units from Tolar and Hood County Station 70 assisted.. Granbury Fire Chief S. Cook had Command.
