When the heavy fires occurred in the Granbury / Hood
County area earlier this year the Texas Forest
Service (TFS) provided both man power and
equipment to help out. Approximately 20 TFS
personnel staged out of the Granbury airport area along with
4 dozers, 2 fire engines, helicopter and
aircraft equipment, all made
available to help support the Granbury and surrounding community
volunteer fire fighters.
